RUN & CELEBRATION
Along with the fun run you will be proud to participate in North Texas’ greenest race as we celebrate the planting of tree with a festival of music, fun and entertainment for everybody.
Free tree seedlings are available for people who attend the Arbor Day Celebration. There are also fun, creative and educational activities for kids such as making leaf necklaces, potting different tree seeds to take home, making tree ring cookies, using crayons to make leaf and bark rubbings, and Arbor Day Leaf Twister. Plano typically celebrates Arbor Day in a different location every year. As a part of the celebration the Parks Foundation plants a tree at each location and we invite the public to lend a hand. In addition 2009 marks the city of Plano’s 20th consecutive year as a member of Tree City USA. Presented BY
